Uckfield and District lions club recently joined forces with the Uckfield Men’s shed, to help a young wheel chair user realise his dream of being able to do some gardening.
In a joint project Uckfield Lions provided funds for a ramp from the house to garden allowing him to access the garden safely and a smaller ramp allowing access to the summer house .Uckfield men’s shed got busy and made and installed a raised bed for flowers or vegetables, that the young gardener can easily access from his wheelchair.
