Following the lifting of Covid restrictions in July, Uckfield and District lions are confident that subject to there being no further controls, they will be able to hold their annual classic car run.
2021 will be the 18th year of the car run which is one of the clubs major fund raising events and has over the years raised in excess of £30000. All of these funds have been donated to local worthy charitable causes, helping those in need of support and assistance.
This year the run will take place on Sunday 26th September commencing at the Half Way House public house on the A26 at Rose Hill and will wend its way through the beautiful Sussex countryside towards Battle then returning to the Halfway house for a B B Q lunch.
The Lions are most gratefully for the support and help Mel and Rowan at the Halfway House for allowing Lions to use their field.
Application forms can be downloaded here or can be collected from the Lions Bookshop in Olive’s Yard, just off the High Street in Uckfield.
The money raised this year will be split between Kids count and Phab, two local charities who support children and younger people who live with physical and social difficulties.
For more information about entering the run please contact Lion Chris on 01825 765091.
