No shortage of eggs for Lions
Uckfield and District Lions Easter egg draw has exceeded all expectations, with this year’s total tickets sales of over £2000.
For many years now Uckfield lions club has brought a quantity of 1kg Belgium chocolate Easter eggs, these eggs are then distributed to local public houses around the local area to be raffled. This year eggs went to Crowborough, Blackboys, Heathfield, Ringmer, Uckfield pubs and Bishops the butchers.
As said, sales exceeded all expectations and a profit of £1500 was made, this figure has been topped up from Lions charity funds to £2000 and it will be donated to the Uckfield foodbank bank.
Uckfield lions would like to thank all the pubs and Bishops for allowing Lions eggs in their premises. But most importantly their customers who brought tickets.
