- On a very wet and windy December morning, members of Uckfield and district Lions club attended Redhill Aerodrome to present a cheque for £4000 to Kent, Sussex and Surrey air ambulance.
- At the end of September this year Uckfield Lions held their 20th Classic car run, the car run was attended by over 120 cars and was a very successful event, raising over £3000, Lions at their October business meeting agreed to use money from their general fund and agreed a donation of £4000.
- The morning started with a look round the KSS hanger, seeing the vast amount of equipment need for all types of emergencies, then organizer of the car run Chris Macve presented the cheque to Sussex fund raising coordinator Ruby Hunt.
- The Lions where still on the tarmac when the Air Ambulance received a call for help and took off in a matter of minutes.
- Lions club in the Southeast have all raised a vast amount of money for KSS over last few years.
