Uckfield Lions Classic Car Show took place on Saturday, starting with a short drive from TR Fastenings car park on the Bellbrook Industrial Estate, up the High Street turning into Library Way then onto Luxford field.

The parade was led by Steam Engine Saturn, much to the delight of the Saturday morning shoppers, from Luxford Field a toot toot was heard, followed by a cloud of steam rising above the roof tops in the High Street.  Saturn was followed by a well turned out lorry owned by T Robinson of Sussex.  The only thing missing from Postman Pat’s post office van was his black & white cat with the rear of the van full of post office memorabilia.

Luxfield Field proved to be a good space to hold the event with room for vehicles to safely move around and for the many people that came along to view. There was a charge of £10 per vehicle, with profits from this event being donated to Canine Partners, who where present on the field along with a flat coated Retriever Warwick, despite now being retired from being a canine partners, Warwick spent the morning showing off his skills.  Also money will be donated to the Sussex Blood Bikes who move blood around the country on high performance motorbikes.
