The Lavender fields at Shoreham in Kent was the destination for the Ladies from Uckfield Trefoil,using the Uckfield Lions mini bus and a Lions driver,14 ladies of the Trefoil guild were booked on the trip.

On one of the warmest days of the year,they arrived in time for a coffee or ice cream,followed by a walk round the Lavender fields which were in full bloom,after a couple of hours wandering and shopping in the gift shop it was time for lunch.

Having in the morning done battle with the extremely narrow lanes around Shoreham, the driver took the easier but slightly longer route to Polhill garden centre at Badgers mount Sevenoaks For lunch in the large restaurant and a wander round the even bigger garden centre.

Heading back about 3pm via the A25 then through the countryside to Edenbridge and across the Ashdown forest .  

Uckfield lions minibus is regularly used by the Luxford centre and Grants hill court for outings ,Uckfield Tech college have used it and the bus has been to Sealife centre twice with Chiddingly and Park Mead primary schools at  Hailsham for school outings in the last few weeks.
