Ringmer Memory Café at Wakehurst
Uckfield and District Lions club was pleased to be able to help with transport for the Ringmer memory club trip to Wakehurst place.
The club along with other Alzheimer’s and Dementia groups local to Wakehurst place had been invited to take part in a new initiate at Wakehurst .Which included a free tour of accessible parts of the gardens ,using Wakehurst wheelchairs as required, along with a guide to point out all the amazing trees and colours and an update on projects currently under way .This was all free to members of the groups and the career’s or family members .
The weather was kind, and the sun managed to come out a couple of times, the conversation over a cup of tea after the walk was,” I came here so many years ago, it still a lovely place” What a lovely time we have had.
The Lion’s minibus is available for community group use, currently at a £1.00 a mile with driver if required. For enquires go to www.uckfield-lions.org.uk
