| Report to Lions Club Hastings Uckfield Hailsham To all members I have written just one report for all 3 lions Club as you can imagine Kids Count Project is extremely busy with normal referral with so many families in poverty and financial hardship its a full time operational Role . Ukraine YESTERDAY we celebrated “Independence” with Ukrainian families around events held in Wealden In Wealden we have 542 to date arrivals through various schemes with more to come when sponsor’s are found Statutory Agencies workers send me referrals’ of need from individuals To date we have supported 54 families which is a phenomenon task given a range of issues and organisational complications Plus 3 open days where I have taken Clothing Bedding and School Uniform and Toiletries to various locations for families to help themselves . I have with your funding supplied 3 New cots and mattresses 2 cribs New 3 Pushchairs Single Bedding Duvets Snuggly Blankets Story Books Craft Activities and Board Games Toys New underwear Socks Shoes Winter Coats /welly boots Toiletries School Uniform Rucksacks Water bottles Summer Clothing Most families fled the war torn country with what they could carry and whilst they are placed with host families I felt for there dignity and self worth it was the right thing to offer support as hosts have enough to do to support the families I enclose a picture of a group of ladies that celebrated at an event held in Cow beech where we had a BBQ and live music so they could chill and relax The work continues and thankyou for your financial support that has assisted the families I know how much they appreciated the help .
