Uckfield Lions Santa Sleigh continues visiting most areas of Uckfield in what can only be described as challenging weather conditions.

On 11th December before touring West Park, Santa visited the children at Chailey Heritage followed by a visit to Coniston Care Home just north of Uckfield. Santa arrived on his sleigh about 4.15pm & slowly drove around Chailey Heritage to arrive at the meeting point between the two bungalows.

Many children came out to see Santa who came down from his sleigh to speak to the children & have photographs taken with them. The weather was dry which enabled the children, & staff, to really enjoy Santa’s visit.

Santa then went on to visit Coniston Care Home, arriving on his Sleigh at about five o’clock. Santa went in & spoke to each resident, wishing them a very happy Christmas. Photographs were taken, both with the residents & the staff.

Santa then continued onto West Park to see the children. Uckfield Lions would like to thank all the  venues for their very enthusiastic welcome.

Santa had another busy afternoon on Saturday 13th December.

He first visited the PHAB Christmas Party at Ridgewood Village Hall where he arrived on his sleigh in the car park. All the children came out into the car park where Santa came down off the sleigh & handed out presents. With the disco playing in the hall & refreshments provided, a good time was had by all.

Santa then went on to the village green in Fairwarp where the Fairwarp Community Society was holding their Christmas Fair. Santa arrived on his sleigh with music playing & was met by many excited children & parents. Once the sleigh had parked next to the village green, Santa came down off his sleigh & handed out presents.

The weather could not have been better & with mulled wine & mince pies available, a wonderful time was had by all.
