On Monday 14th September Uckfield Lions held a coffee morning at Bridge cottage for all the bookshop volunteers. Twenty eight people attended & the morning gave the volunteers the opportunity to meet other people, other than the volunteers that they normally work with. The bookshop committee addressed the meeting commencing with the history of the bookshop, which all started at Bridge Cottage in 2011, followed by a Health & Safety update, information about how the money raised was spent & finally proceedures for working in the bookshop.
The meeting concluded with a question & answer session with some very positive & constructive ideas. Refreshments were provided by two Lions’ ladies.
