Linden Cottage Care home for the disabled want to say a huge thank you to THE UCKFIELD LIONS.
Earlier this year we took part at the vicar’s lunch with Father John and associates from local businesses and local communities. This lunch takes place every two months a great way to network and support others that need help with events as well as fabulous food put on by Father John.
Each lunch someone will give a 10-minute talk on a subject of their choice
Linden spoke of events happening at home and that next year our aim was to try and raise money to get our residents away on holiday.
It takes a lot of planning due to needing somewhere that caters for our residents needs such as hoists and special beds. Most of our residents have not experienced this for many years if at all.
After our 10-minute talk we were approached by Chris from The Uckfield Lions who had planned their yearly classic car event where they raise money for two different charities each year.
They asked if they could support Linden Cottage to make this happen
We want to thank everyone who took part in the event and again supporting us at Linden
We can now look at exciting breaks away for them. This means the world to us at Linden Cottage we don’t have words to express our gratitude.
From all the guys at Linden thank you to The Uckfield Lions and to Father John for these wonderful lunches were so much good is done.
