On 13th. July, Uckfield Lions met with other Lions club members from Bexhill, Hastings, Hailsham & SEBI for a jamboree BBQ.
The dappled shade of Abbott’s Wood made the perfect venue on one of the hottest days of the year. Salad & rolls were provided, but members brought their own meat to be barbequed by Graham.
As a former army chef, Graham is perfectly qualified to toil over the coals in the broiling heat, cooking for the hungry masses! His wife Annita, also a professional chef, produced delicious puddings.
To round-off the day, Graham was invested as our new president by Frank Phillips, president 2024-25.
In addition the ‘zone olympics’ cup was presented to Bexhill, who had defeated Uckfield by one point!
